Donate to the museum.

The National Tin Figure Museum greatly appreciates donations and inheritances. There are several opportunities :

Donations

Donations are made to the ' Stichting Nationaal Tinnen Figuren Museum '. This Foundation is, exempt from donation - and death duties . A normal donation can be remitted directly to the ' Stichting Nationaal Tinnen Figuren Museum '. The treasury wields a threshold value for this kind of donations. It comes to a limited deductibility. The donation in instalments of life-annuity is completely deductable. For example during a period of 5 year every year € 1.000, - or more is donated and this arrangement will be included in a notary's certificate. In that case the real spending is often less then half of it, because of the tax deduction. The treasurer of the museum can take care that there is no need for the donor to go the notary for drawing up the notary's certificate.

Donations in kind

Donations in instalments of life-annuity can be made in money however in kind too. Many notaries are not familiar with this opportunity. Suppose: somebody possesses a remarkable collection tin figures which fits perfectly in the museum collection and wants to donate this collection. In case the museum find this collection (or object) of interest for the museum collection and is willing to include it, the collection (or object) will be appraised and donated to the museum during a period of 5 years. The donor has during this instalment a yearly tax deduction of 1/5 of the appraised value. Donations in value are made to the 'Stichting Nationaal Tinnen Figuren Museum'.

Inheritances and testamentary bequests

Leaving behind a sum of money or collection tin figures is for some people a special way to support the museum. Thanks to a special fiscal regulation it can be attractive for private persons to donate - after their passing away - to the Foundation "Nationaal Tinnen Figuren Museum" an amount or a tin figure collection. A testamentary bequest or a legacy will be set right by the own notary usually. Questions about donations or legacies you can ask at the treasurer of the Foundation "Nationaal Tinnen Figuren Museum".

The National Tin Figure Museum is the only tin figure museum in the Netherlands and one of the leading tin figure museums in the world.
